Here’s how you can remove a business portfolio from your Facebook Business Account (Meta Business Suite / Business Manager) — step-by-step depending on what you actually mean by “portfolio.”

Facebook doesn’t literally have a “Portfolio” section, so you’re probably referring to one of the following:

  • A Business Portfolio (Meta’s new unified account structure) — recently introduced to replace “Business Manager”
  • A Page, Ad Account, or Instagram Account linked to your Business
  • A Portfolio of assets inside an ad agency or business group

Below are all cases covered 👇

🧩 Case 1: Removing a Meta Business Portfolio (new structure replacing Business Manager)

If you created a Business Portfolio (like “Portfolio Name - Meta Business”), here’s how to delete or remove it:

  1. Go to 👉 https://business.facebook.com/settings
  2. In the left menu, click Business Info (⚙️ Settings → Business Info).
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Permanently Delete Business Portfolio.
  4. Confirm your password and choose Delete.

⚠️ You must be the admin of that portfolio to delete it. Once deleted, all assets (Pages, ad accounts, catalogs, pixels, etc.) under it will be disconnected — not deleted, but they will lose association with that portfolio.

🧾 Case 2: Removing Assets (Page, Ad Account, Instagram, etc.)

If you only want to remove a specific page or ad account instead of deleting the whole portfolio:

  1. Go to Business Settings.
  2. In the left sidebar, select the type of asset:
    • Accounts → Pages
    • Accounts → Ad Accounts
    • Accounts → Instagram Accounts
  3. Select the asset you want to remove.
  4. Click Remove (top-right corner).

Note: You can only remove assets that your business owns or has full control over. If it’s shared by another business, ask that business to remove your access instead.

🧹 Case 3: You’re managing multiple Portfolios (agencies or client work)

If your Meta account shows multiple portfolios and you want to leave one (not delete it):

  1. Go to https://business.facebook.com/settings
  2. Switch to the portfolio you want to leave (top left dropdown).
  3. Go to People → Your Name.
  4. Click Remove from Business.

🚨 Important Notes

  • You cannot delete a portfolio if there are active ad campaigns, payment issues, or pending roles.
  • Deletion is permanent — you’ll lose access to that structure.
  • Assets (like Pages or ad accounts) will return to their original owner if shared.

Would you like to tell me what exactly you want to remove — 👉 the whole portfolio (like deleting the business account) or just specific pages/ad accounts under it? Then I can give you the exact steps or URL for that case only.
